How to connect Cin7 Omni

Safely connect your Cin7 Omni account to Wink in 4 steps:

1. under the Cin7 API Setup menu, copy the API Username and generate your Cin7 Omni API key; 
2. set permissions for Wink;
3. paste the username and key into the Wink connection form, and click Save.

That’s it - your Cin7 Omni and Wink accounts are now integrated.

Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Create API keys by logging in to Cin7 Omni and visiting the API Setup page.

Click the "Add API Connection" button:

Enter "Wink Reports" for the App Name:

Note down your API key. Normally, Cin7 Omni does not allow you to retrieve this key after you leave the page. On the API Connections list, visit the "Permissions" link:

Grant privileges to read all the objects of Cin7 Omni you wish to obtain reports from. We recommending ticking all:

Next, copy/paste the API Username (top of the API Setup page) and the API key you noted down to the Wink connect from, which looks like this:

Your historical data

Once connected, the first thing we do is import your historical data to power features like: tracking seasonal demand trends and setting targets based on past performance. If you’ve been operating for several years, this first import will take some time but:

• it only happens once;
• we don’t charge for it; and
• you can log out while it happens.

We’ll let you know when your data is ready to be turned into business intelligence for you and your team.
